Will God Forgive Donald Trump?

The Impeachment trial of Trump is just about over. He will most likely be acquitted in the Senate. They will not be interviewing witnesses. Abuse of power and obstruction of Congress apparently are not enough of a criminal charge to be removed from office, and neither is being a jerk. So it will be up to the American people to decide whether it is better to have a jerk for a president or a nice and decent person for President when we vote in the Primaries and in November. I actually feel sorry for Trump because he is such a jerk with his terrible language and awful speaking of others. I wonder does he ever feel sorry for how terrible he treats Hillary or Biden, or the terrible things he has called Mitt Romney. I wonder, does he ever feel bad for all the lies and deceit. Does he ever feel guilty for locking up children at the border. Does he feel the burden of the fate of those he has hurt with his policies? Does he feel the awesome weight and responsibility of the Office he holds?

The weight of the office of Bishop is no where near the weight of the Presidency, but as Bishop I know how hard it is to lead. As a Bishop sometimes you have to make hard decisions that affect the fate of others, whether it involves the sin of someone who has hurt another, or whether to go into the red financially to help someone in need. Will God forgive Trump? Can I forgive Trump for selling the sole of this Nation? What do you do when you can't forgive? You pray for forgiveness and pray for the person you can't forgive, and ask "Wilt thou God forgive?" and leave it in his hands.
