A Place for Those Who Choose to Stay



There are many online channels and groups for people who have left the Church, but what about for those who have had a "Faith Crises" but choose to stay? Is there a place for those who have found that it is not "All or Nothing"? A place for freedom of expression when one's beliefs don't fit the mold of the Church? A place where people can go to find camaraderie and connect with God without pressure to conform to the Church's current stance on current events? A place to respectfully discuss topics such as the Priesthood of Women, LGBT rights, evolution, the Tree of Life and the Kabbalah, the relationship between science and Religion. A place to compare 19th century philosophy to the 21st century and how human society has evolved. Where one can claim more than one faith?  A place where people can gather (members and non-members alike) to appreciate nature and the majesty of God's creation. Where can one find such a place?

What I Believe

I was released as Bishop on November 15th 2020. I did want to say that I am thankful for the opportunity I had to serve as Bishop, to stand for those who may not have had a voice in the Church Before. A Well Regulated Militia

  The Second Amendment is the right to protect the land we own (with arms), not to form Citizen Militias. Citizen Militias may not be illegal till they attack the Capital, but they are Not a Right, and they are Not Needed!     Let's take a look at The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution Which reads:  " A well regulated Militia , being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." The first part is explaining the reason for the right, the second part is the right which is to keep and bare arms. Adding the words Because, and therefore makes it more clear.   " Because a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, Therefore the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."   "Well Regulated" can only refer to Government, Whether that be National, State or Local. Woes of the Bishop of a Dying Ward

Nobody knows the woes of the Bishop of a dying Ward.  This is me three and a half years ago. When this picture was taken, I was recently called as Bishop of a Ward in New England. I was still full of energy and hope and excitement and nervousness, and a strong sense of feeling overwhelmed. The sense of feeling overwhelmed has never gone away. But back then I had hope for the future of the Ward and a clear direction to grow the Ward. Three months before I was called as Bishop, I was called as Cub Scout Den leader. I didn't release myself from that calling until last year (A few months before the Church announced they would stop the Boy Scout program). I had a mission to revitalize the Scouting program in my Ward. But soon after this hiking trip I had my first big blow. My Cub Scout Master and his family moved back out west.
